Questions and answers
The collimators and cutting heads are suitable for CO₂ and YAG laser systems and support beam powers of up to 500 watts, and up to 600 watts for certain models. They are ideal for flying optics systems and special laser applications such as cutting and welding.
Both models offer:
- Galilean telescope design for precise optical results
- Dilation factor of 2.5 or 5 (optionally 3.3 and 3.75) for flexible application possibilities
- Adjustment range of ±5 mm to enable precise focussing
- No rotating optics, which increases stability and reliability
- Compact design, which is particularly suitable for use in robotic applications
- Short delivery times and a good price-performance ratio
These cutting heads offer:
- High optical and mechanical stability for precise cutting
- Compact design and easy operation
- Adjustable focal widths: 2.5 inches as standard and optionally 5 inches
- A maximum process gas pressure of 10 bar to ensure optimum cutting quality
- Options such as beam protection tubes and specific holders for various laser applications
Here is an overview of the technical data of some models:
- Deflecting mirror UE25: aperture of 25 mm, mirror diameter 1.5 inches, weight 450 g
- Deflecting mirror UE22.3: aperture of 22 mm, weight 350 g, optional protective tube adapter available
- SK2 cutting head: 25 mm aperture, focal lengths from 2.5 to 5 inches, weight approx. 850 g, maximum working pressure 15 bar
Both models have:
- Input aperture of 16 mm
- Output aperture of 25 mm
- Lens diameter (input/output): 0.75 inch / 1.1 inch
- Diameter of the beam protection tube: 30 mm (optionally available)
- Weight: Compact and lightweight to be integrated in various industrial applications
Deflecting mirrors such as the UE25, UE22.3 and UE35 offer:
- Quick-change mirror mounts without the need for readjustment
- Compact design and high optical and mechanical stability
- Suitable for CO%u2082 and YAG laser systems up to 500 or 1500 watts, depending on the model
- The UE35 has a water-cooled mirror mount for applications with higher beam power
- Customisable brackets according to customer requirements and protective tube adapter for different tube diameters
The SB04 shutter box serves as a protection module for laser applications. It enables the laser beam to be switched on and off safely and offers:
- Electronic and mechanical protection mechanisms
- A robust construction designed for operation in class 4 laser systems
- Maintenance-friendly design and integrated monitoring sensors for temperature and position
- Easy integration into existing laser systems via standardised interfaces
For all products, the safety devices must be installed and regularly checked in accordance with the operating instructions. This includes
- Maintenance: All maintenance and cleaning activities should only be carried out by trained personnel
- Laser class 4: When working with class 4 lasers, special protective measures such as suitable safety goggles and the proper installation of housing covers must be ensured
- Regular inspection of optics and other critical components to ensure system performance
